Celtics big man Tacko Fall, a 7 foot-6 inch rookie, has committed to a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics. This contract will allow him to spend up to 45 days in the NBA with the Celtics, and the rest of the season he will be with the Celtics' G-League the Maine Red Claws.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, this contract will allow Tacko to earn a max of about $350,00 if he spends the full 45 days in the NBA.
"It's another opportunity to keep proving myself," Fall said. "I've worked really hard to get to this point. I'm really fortunate to be in this position, and I'm going to keep fighting to show I can play in the NBA and keep getting better."
Tacko was signed to an Exhibit 10 contract after he went undrafted, which allowed him to participate with the Celtics in training camp and the preseason.
Tacko has acquired quite the fan base since blocking Zion in the NCAA tournament last March. When he checked in to a road preseason game, he got a standing ovation from the Orlando Magic crowd.
Tacko’s progress in the G-League and NBA will be closely monitored by many basketball fans.
