Hot Take🔥: Draymond Green Could Average a Triple Double

I think there is at least one person who is glad that Kevin Durant left Golden State to go to Brooklyn. That person is Draymond Green. And I think it is possible he could average a triple double.

A triple double is pretty much when a player accounts for 10 of something in one game. It mostly occurs when someone scores 10+ points, gets 10+ assists and collects 10+ rebounds.

It has only happened 4 times in NBA history, between two different players, Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook, Westbrook has averaged a triple double the last 3 years.

Draymond Green is only 29, and now he is the second best player on his team, with KD gone and Klay Thompson out with an injury. The last year before Durant went to the Warriors, Green turned 25 late in the season. And he averaged 14 points, 9.5 assists and 7.4 rebounds, and was an All-Star that year.

He was one of the only players ever to lead his team in both assists and rebounds, and he is a great defensive player with a high "basketball IQ".

Now Green is more experienced, with more opportunities coming this year, and the offense they will run this year is one in which Draymond Green plays best. I think it is very possible that Draymond Green will be able to average a (quiet) triple double.
